A. Competitive Examination & Career counselling Cell

The competitive cell established in college academic year 2017-18, Main Purpose of the committee to motivate students and provide support to them for all types competitive exams such as MPSC/UPSC, NET, SET, civil services, banking etc.

Annasaheb Waghire college, Otur situated in remote and hilly aria in Junnar Tahsil it's part of western reigns of Maharashtra. Many tribes lived in this aria and they are very poor financially. Their livelihood depends on rise farming (Paddy Farming) A competition examination cell has been set up in the college with the broad objective of enabling the poorest students in the aria to pass the competitive examinations in maximum number.

Following Activities are arranged by the cell:

1. To Motivate students for prospective career in government and corporate sector.
2. To intensively guide students for competitive exams like MPSC/UPSC/Banking etc.
3. To build among student's sense of awareness, provide guidance, necessary information about civil services.
4. To conduct career development workshops/ Seminars on competitive examinations.
5. NET/SET guidance workshops for P.G. students.
6. To spread awareness about competitive examinations among the students (living in rural, remote and hilly area where the college is located), and to create and sustain their interest in the respective field.

Facilities:-

1. Books and magazines of various competitive examinations are purchased in the library regularly.
2. All the department have providing various competitive examination information to the students of concern departments.
3. A separate session was arranged for providing information about various career option in particular subjects in every department.
4. To provide the basic knowledge of necessary preparations like pre-examination preparation,post-examination preparation, basic preparations for the interview skills, etc.

B. Soft Skill Development Committee

Goal:-
    To encourage and guide students for improvement in Communication skills and overall Personality Development and provide quality training for Aptitude and soft skills development of students.

Objectives:-

• To organise quality training programs to improve student aptitude and soft skills.
• To provide guidance and motivation about communication skills through various activities.
• To improve proficiency in English language.
• To develop personality and creating a good impression.

C. Board of Students Development

Our college is located in rural and hilly area and it is observed that several of our rural students, especially the poor and the marginalized lack opportunities. It is to give them that cutting edge in a highly competitive and ruthless world, that our college has launched the Department of Student Welfare. Our Department undertakes various activities for the benefit of the student which are economically backward, intelligent and meritorious but cannot afford higher education.
